# School Explorer

> Victorian high school VCE rankings and school comparisons built from VCAA senior secondary completion and achievement (SSCAI) tables. We publish medians, percentage of study scores of 40 or above, cohort sizes, and sector filters — not a single “best school” score.

## How to use this site for answers

- Data is **by VCAA reporting year** (not always the same as calendar year). The homepage and `/vce-rankings/[year]` show the full table for a year.
- **Median VCE study score** is the middle score in the cohort for that school and year, as published by VCAA. “I/D” means insufficient data.
- Rankings are **one indicator**; see `/methodology` for limitations and fair use.
